2024 COVID-19 Guidelines

Updated March 21, 2024

March 4, 2024

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On Friday, March 1st, the CDC updated recommendations for how people can protect themselves and their communities from respiratory viruses, including COVID-19.

A 5-day isolation after testing positive for COVID-19 is no longer required. The new recommendations suggest returning to normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, symptoms are improving overall, and if a fever was present, it has resolved without the use of a fever-reducing medication.

Further guidance can be found from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention at this link. Please feel free to contact your child’s school nurse with any questions.

Sincerely,

York District Nurses
