Hi Everyone,
Welcome back from April break! We’re officially in the home stretch of the school year—an exciting time filled with lots of opportunities to celebrate the hard work and growth our students. Eighth grade families should have received a letter outlining the planned June activities, including costs, payment links, and a permission slip. This is the first of several communications you can expect as we approach the end of the year. For your convenience, the letter and permission slip are also included below. Please be sure to review the deadlines, and note that all payments are non-refundable.
Our music ensembles will be showcasing their talents this week during their spring concerts! We hope you can join us for YMS Chorus on Monday at 5:40 PM, and YMS Band on Thursday at 6:30 PM at the York Community Auditorium.
This week, students in all grades will participate in NWEA state testing on Tuesday and Wednesday. Remind your student to get a good night's sleep, eat breakfast (at home or pick up at the cafe), and to arrive to school on time. Make-up testing for students who are absent will be offered in the days following the test administration.
Thank you to families of students entering grades 6–8 for completing the course selection process over the break. If you missed the deadline, forms will remain open until tomorrow afternoon:
YMS 2026–2027 Grade 6 Arts Selection Form
YMS 2026–2027 Grades 7/8 Allied Arts & Language Selection
OPTIONAL: YMS Family Information Form (2026/2027)
As always, thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Tim & Tisha
