First Student provides standard bus transportation to and from home to the York Schools. The York School Department contracts out the vast majority of its transportation needs.

Special Education Transportation is provided through several contractors and York School Department vehicles. The best method of transportation is determined based on the child's needs.

Vocational Education Transportation is provided by the York School Department from York High School to the program school.

Please Note:

For those families that have regular bus route service, please have your student at the bus stop for pickup at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled stop and remain at the stop for at least 5 minutes after.

First Student and the Building Administrator of the child's school will address student behavior issues.

The first contact for special education transportation is either the transportation contractor or the York High School office for students who ride in York School Department vehicles.
