The ORCA Team would like to thank all the parents who volunteered for the Living History program. It was a tremendous success this year. Special thanks goes to the Olde York Historical Society for continuing this fine program. The educational director Anne Poubeau always does a fantastic job making this activity run smoothly. We are very impressed with the new Remick
Barn. What a beautiful addition to Jefford's Tavern in the middle of York. The open hearth and colonial replication decor were a perfect setting for our work in learning how people cooked in the 18th century.
Again, thanks to the parents who donned their colonial costumes (some for the third and fourth times) and helped us experience life in the 1789 York.
Don't forget to check our the photos for our two days of activities at Living History.
