APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR
The appropriate footwear for PE has a flexible rubber sole and gives plenty of support to the feet and ankles. Socks are also preferred. Students are not usually asked to sit out but certain activities may require them to do so for safety reasons. Children should have sneakers for school every day for recess and other activities. Hopefully, by first grade students are learning to tie their laces and by second grade they know how to tie.
YES- sneakers, merrills, slip on sneakers
NO- dress shoes, sandals, Crocs, boots
