Career Quest Program consists of two consecutive days of school time given over entirely to job shadowing. No regular classes will be held for these students.
The goals of the program are for students:
To gain appreciation for all types of careers;
To learn about the duties, responsibilities, education, and training required for a possible career;
To learn job seeking skills, such as writing resumes and letters of introduction, interviewing, and making contacts with people in the workplace; and
To summarize and share their experiences in oral presentations.
Each student has a school counselor to help him or her prepare for this experience. The school counselor is a contact for you to address your questions about the process. The Career Quest Committee will send you a student evaluation form after the job shadow was completed. Your feedback about this process is invaluable.
