Dorizzi
In
late 2002 I began freelancing as a professional drummer and now,
once again, I’m back to playing music full-time. I keep a very
busy schedule of studio and live engagements performing with
many different artists. In 2003 I played over 100 performances,
recorded 4 new CDs and toured all over the U.S. to such places
as Key West, FL, Seattle, WA, Houston,
TX, Wichita, KS, New York City and Columbus, Ohio (just to name
a few). In
2004, I am looking forward to an even more demanding schedule of
musical projects. I have recently launched www.johndorizzi.com
and am currently pursuing several musical equipment
endorsements. …and
to think, It all started with George Perkins back in the YHS
Music Department. Anyone who knew me back in High School could
tell you that playing drums professionally is all I ever wanted
to do. Well, I guess I never lost site of that goal. I still
consider myself very fortunate for each day that I get to
realize that dream. |

It’s my daily goal to live the way my father taught me and
that is to be positive in all you think and do. Negativity
breeds more then the mind can comprehend. Always remember –
it’s only a thought and a thought can be changed.
