Educational Integration Services will:

      Provide a support mechanism to assist teachers with the integration of technology throughout the curriculum.

      Identify ways technology can be used to support high-quality, standards-based curriculum, instruction, and assessment in all content areas.

      Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and implement tasks or projects that incorporate various technologies as tools to facilitate and enhance students’

  • research,
  • critical thinking,
  • problem solving,
  • analysis,
  • collaboration,
  • communication,
  • and presentation skills.
      Assist classroom teachers and other staff in developing effective means of assessing students’ learning of technology concepts and skills across the curriculum, and to assess technology's impact on the enhancement of student learning.

      Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to conduct needs-assessments that identify instructional problems for which information technologies might be appropriate components of the solution.

      Adapt to new technologies and help teachers to integrate them into the educational process, as appropriate.

      Collaborate with regular/special educators and Educational Technicians to identify and implement technologies to support the learning of students with various forms of disabilities

      Collaborate with other school and district staff to evaluate the effectiveness of the school and/or district’s implementation of its information technology plan.




York School Department employs three full-time technology integration specialists.  They are:

Grades 9- 12
Grades 5-8
Grades K-4
