The York School Technology Department consists of three services.
Network Services provides secure access from both within and outside of the local area network for student information systems, grading software, file storage/sharing, library, communications systems, email, and student assessment data. Technical Services consists of one Network Administrator and three Computer Technicians.
Educational Integration Services provides a support mechanism to assist teachers with the integration of technology throughout the curriculum. Integration Services consists of one
K-4, one 5-8 and one 9-12 Professional Educator/Integration Specialist.
Database/Information Services manages all database protocols across information systems within the district. Database Services consists of one Database Manager.
The Director of Information Technology Services provides leadership across the School Department in technology education (including technology curriculum, technology integration and the use of software) and technical systems (including student information management systems, hardware and software configurations, networks, etc.) The Director supervises all members of the Department, while providing leadership to school personnel.
The entire team supports about 2000 students, 400 adults and over 1100 workstations, servers and infrastructure. We promote a vision that will provide quality education through the integration of information technology tools.
