NEASC Accreditation

  • The York School Department is committed to the process of voluntary K-12 accreditation through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

  • York High School and Village Elementary School are fully accredited schools, having completed the process of self-study and on-site peer review. York High School is beginning the decennial review process with professional development and initial self-study efforts reflecting the new NEASC 2011 Standards for Accreditation.

  • Coastal Ridge Elementary School hosted an NEASC on-site review in May 2009 and is anticipating obtaining accredited status in late fall 2009.

  • York Middle School is currently underway with the self-study process and is scheduled to host an NEASC Visiting Team in Spring 2010.
